The Delicious Gift of Wine of the Month Clubs!

Wine of the Month Clubs are a great gift idea for a unique and delicious present that keeps on giving even after the holidays are over. Wine making is an art and beloved craft and meant to be shared with loved ones. Wine is enjoyed by both men and women, and a popular beverage for entertaining, holiday celebrations, dinner pairings, or a relaxing evening at home.

Wine is proven to show great health benefits when consumed in moderation, and wine of the month clubs are the perfect way to give this gift. Some medical reports suggest drinking one to two glasses of wine per day. Wine is reported to reduce the risk of heart disease, certain cancers and slow the progress of diseases such as Alzheimer's and Parkinson's. Not only does it have great health benefits it also tastes great!

Offerings of these clubs come in various lengths of time such as: 3 months, 6 months or up to a year of wine giving. Most clubs will deliver two bottles a month for taste comparisons. Wine of the Month Clubs offer variety of selections and choices for those who have a difficult time of stepping out of their comfort zones and trying new things. For instance, some people may only drink white wines, but with a gift such as this they may realize they love a good Cabernet or Rose.

Some popular offerings of these clubs are Pinot Noir, Pinot Grigio and Sauvignon Blanc. Each club will offer different choices of both red and whites. Some clubs will also offer different region choices such as Napa Valley or Oregon coast. Another popular Wine of the Month Club offers wines from France, Italy and Spain. It is a nice way to get a taste of international berries.

I love the idea of ‚Äč‚Äčthese clubs because one of my favorite ideas is "wine tasting parties". These can be quite casual as I have recently thrown a few of them. I invite about 8 to 10 friends over and let them know the theme such as "France", "Italy" or "Napa Valley". I ask each guest to bring a bottle of wine, left in a brown paper bag, so we do not see what it is. Then the group will taste each wine and give our thoughts on the selection. At the end the bags are removed and any wine that was liked is served for further drinking. Wine of the Month Clubs would be perfect for giving to people who enjoy this sort of party!

As Christmas is right around the corner it is the perfect time to consider this gift idea!

Storage Organizers Can Improve The New Year

I do not know if it is the change of year that gets everyone so enthusiastic about reorganizing or the fact that they've received a host of items for Christmas and do not know where to put them all. Either way, I know what we're doing at my house after Christmas. My husband announced a few weeks ago that he would like to work our way through every closet in the house, clean each one out and organize what remains. Sometimes I'm not sure who is more of an organization fanatic – him or me!

Throwing things out is the easy part of cleaning any closet. I like to think strategically about each closet when I'm trying to improve the arrangement of what remains. Maybe storage organizers such as bins or baskets is what you need. Or maybe it is a shoe or hat rack. Here are 3 points to ponder when approaching your reorganization:

1. What is working now?

2. What is bothering you?

3. How can you improve on what is there?

For example, when I think of our master bedroom closet I see a lot of potential for improvement. Our hanging space is ample but our shelf space is limited and unorganized. We both tend to just throw things in piles on the wire shelves. Our floor space is usually cluttered with shoes which makes it difficult to vacuum each week. What storage organizers do I need?

1. A hanging shelf would allow me to free up some shelf space and organize our non-hanging items like sweaters.

2. Two or three hosiery organizers (at least one for each of us) would allow me to get socks off the shelf and organized.

3. An over the door shoe rack would allow me to free up our floor space for easy vacuuming. Hanging it on the door instead of in the closet would be a better utilization of space.

I have my shopping list. Do you have yours?

Budget Travel Tips Every Traveler Needs to Know of

Planning a budgeted trip is an art and not many people are aware of how to do it successfully. If you're a frequent frugal traveler, you'd know exactly how to work around arranging a dream trip within your confined budget. This gets even more challenging with the sky high air fares and the hotel costs.

If you wish to enjoy a budgeted holiday without needlessly worrying about the endless travel expenses all the times, here are some great travel tips you may wish to consider.

1. Book Early
Being the early bird helps you to save a lot on your travels. Compare that the next time you plan to save on your holiday and manage to book well before time. Since the best airline and hotel deals vanish soon, booking ahead of time is an excellent way of securing your chances of a budgeted trip. Airlines reveal their best fares well before time. Constant searching on the internet can help you to grab a deal you've long wished for.

2. Use Alternate Airports
Most of us like the hustle and bustle and the ease of large international airports. They are great in every way, but not when it comes to flying frugal. Since most of the passengers opt for these airports, airfares are most likely to be very high. To ease your travelers, opt for the regional airports that are equally fine. Of course, you'll be able to find some great travel deals once you opt for this.

Opt for the alternative airports only if you can arrange your transport easily to the airport. Costs need to be considered here to get a better understanding of which airport you need to choose when flying.

3. Flexibility
Flexibility is certainly the key to making the most of your travels. Firstly, for a budgeted trip you must avoid peak holiday season whenever it's possible. This is because that is the time of the year everyone is on the go and it's no less of a dreamy state to find anything economic. Airports are filled with passengers while the hotels are also overflowing with guests. In times like these, you're less likely to score a deal of your desires.

Shoulder travel seasons work out evenly a great trip for organizing trips. This is the budget friendly time to be touring destinations. Above that, you experience fewer crowds as well.

4. Walk Often
Traveling is particularly expensive because of the costs within the city. Transportation can add up to that significantly. To make the best use of the situation, walking more would help you to save big. This is also possible when you choose a hotel in the heart of where all the attractions are. If you do so, there is no better way to experience all the hustle and bustle of it other than walking.

Everyone craves for vacations to enjoy some quality time with their loved ones and Indians are no exception. The outbound travel sector of India saw a robust growth this year because international travel destinations are highly regarded-after among Indians in 2015. The positive part of the survey is the increased awareness among Indian travelers. More than 90% of young generation is aware of the travel insurance which is a significant rise from last year's 80%. One of the major provider of travel insurance plans in India; ICICI Lombard entered a total travel insurance premium of Rs 100 previous year, one can expect the premium to increase by 5-10% in this year. The problem is not with the awareness; it is the lack of understanding about the benefits associated with these travel covers.

27% of the total respondents in the survey choose not to avail a travel insurance plan simply because they were under the wrong conception that such plans cover only accidents, loss of baggage and theft but do not provide medical coverage. This is far from being the truth as the complete break-up of Titanium plan by HDFC ERGO shows additional coverage for medical emergencies.

25% surveyed people did not buy any travel plan because they thought such plans are costly but it is not so. The price of all plans for person mentioned here are about less than Rs. 100 to less than Rs. 140 for each day of a 10 days trip. Travel insurance policies for couples are even cheaper as they cost in the range of less than Rs. 65 per day per person to less than Rs. 125 per day per person for destinations like US, UK and all countries in Asia including popular destinations like Singapore, Thailand.

Indians love to spend their holidays in international destinations. An international travel insurance plan does not cost much and offers a lot in return. If you are also a travel freak, you should insure the total duration of the trip so that you can enjoy your holiday with complete peace of mind.

In the Adventure section, youngsters can sail the high seas on a pirate ship, swing through the trees with the Swiss Family Robinson and take on challenges with Indiana Jones, while in Discoveryland they can be blasted through a cannon, spin in a star cruiser and meet R2D2 in a droid workshop.

Go Green on Your Luxury Sailing Yacht Trip

The best way to combine a luxury holiday at sea with an eco-friendly endeavor is to take a trip aboard a luxury sailing yacht. Given that your sailing activity is powered by wind-energy, you will be able to enjoy an emission-free journey whilst soaking up the glorious beauty of the locations you will visit.

When you visit various locations on your luxury sailing yacht, it is your responsibility to play your part in reducing your carbon footprint by taking great care to minimize the effects of your presence and leave the locations in the pristine conditions you found them in.

Smooth Sailing on Your Luxury Yacht

The average speed that can be reached by a luxury sailing yacht is 10 knots / hour – imagine the pure bliss of racing across the ocean without the intrusive humming noise of an engine. All you will hear is the water as it laps against the bow – so even noise pollution will be kept to a bare minimum as you sail in harmony with the elements without using a drop of oil ..

Another thing to consider is your crew's sensitivity towards the environment with regards to the products used to clean and maintain the vessel. There are products available that are less harmful and help conserve your surrounding environment. So even when your crew cleans the superyacht with eco-friendly cleaning products, you can be a part of an effort to reduce your carbon footprint knowing that you wont harm the water around you.

Tips To Make Your Luxury Sailing Yacht Trip Eco-Friendly:

o Respect your natural surroundings: When venturing out on your superyacht, you are bound to travel to pristine locations, rich in natural beauty. It is your responsibility to respect your natural surroundings. When snorkelling or diving, be careful not to damage the beds of coral with diving fins.

o Harness natural ventilation: On most onboard adventures, you will be exposed to the natural winds of the ocean, even when docked. When possible, ensure that you open vents and hatches to harness the natural ventilation provided by the breeze instead of relying on power draining air conditioning systems.

o Green-up your water activities: Luxury sailing yachts afford you with the opportunity to partake in a variety of water sports at the destinations you visit. You can make a difference and reduce your carbon footprint by opting for water sports that are not fuel-driven. These create both noise and carbon pollution, which can be easily avoided by opting for snorkelling, floating mats, kayaks and wind or kite boards.

o Control your garbage disposal: There are many ways to control how your waste disposal will affect your environment. Never throw garbage (including food) overboard as this has a detrimental impact on the natural eco-system. Fish and other sea animals are not accustomed to our food, which is because disposing of any excess food overboard can potentially be life-threatening to them. Cigarette butts can also be commonly mistaken for food, so make sure that you educate all on board to dispose of cigarette ends in a designated location where they can not land up polluting the sea.

o Limit the amount of garbage: When packing or preparing for your trip aboard a superyacht, make an effort to avoid taking plastic on board. Garbage disposals, especially on smaller islands you may visit, usually end up in landfills which have a negative impact on the environment. Limit the amount of garbage you create by shopping wisely beforehand – avoid lots of smaller plastic water bottles, rather opt for larger gallon sized bottles. Avoid plastic or disposable cutlery as well as accumulating plastic bags. Excess bottles or plastic bags that float around have a habit of landing up in the water where they are potentially harmful for fish or other sea animals that could mistake them for food or get cooked up in them.

By taking heed of these few suggestions, you can play your part in preserving marine life and the local environments you visit while still enjoying a luxury sailing yacht trip.

Your Seasonal Guide to Lawn Mower Sales

Before you can properly tend to your yard, you need to have the right equipment. During the spring and summer months, finding local lawn mower sales sound reasonable. You can find holiday deals on Memorial Day and the Fourth of July. However, if you want to buy the right equipment without spending a lot of money, then you should shop during the fall and winter to get the best deals.

Finding Summer Deals

During the spring and summer months, yard care equipment is in high demand. Everyone is trimming their grass during these seasons. It makes sense for home improvement stores to keep the items in stock and ready to buy during these months.

Because it is the peak season for purchase, it means the prices will be a little higher. Retailers know you need the equipment in order to maintain your yard properly. While they are not going to price tools so high that no one will purchase then, even lawn mower sales will have higher prices during the peak seasons.

You can still find a few holiday offers in the summer, though. These will usually offer decent deals if you need the equipment right away. However, it is best to hold off if possible because, if you wait a few months, you can get a discounted price when the dealers move the merchandise out of their showroom.

Offseason Buying

Reports indicate that the best time to purchase yard-trimming equipment is at the end of the summer season. As retailers transition to fall, they reduce the price on all spring and summer tools. At this time, you can find great lawn mower sales. It's important to know what features you need and to keep an open mind, so you can find the best price on a machine that meets your needs, even if all of the models are not in stock.

If you want to order online, you will still get your best deals during the fall and early winter months. The added benefit is that, if you choose to order from online sources, you will have a better chance of finding specific brands or designs that may interest you. You will have to pay for shipping, however, which can eat into your savings if you are not careful.

Older Models

You can also save money if you are willing to go with older models for your yard equipment. This does not necessarily mean used, though. Dealers who stock yard tractors year-round will offer deals on models from the previous season. They host these specials in order to clear out older stock before receiving newer models for their showroom.

If you know where to look, you can get a good deal on lawn mower sales. But, by waiting a little while, you can get a great deal and really save some money!

Vacation and Travel Planned in Casual Luxury

Not all of us can afford to book an airplane ticket and reserve a deluxe accommodation to places we only imagine. Aside from that we also need some funds to spend when we arrive to our chosen destinations. Travel and shopping always come together. We cannot close our eyes when we see the products they offer in our chosen location. To make our trip enjoyable and affordable we must have a plan.

Access to the internet will be the best tool to guide us anywhere in the world. There are sites where we can compare the prices of airline tickets. If you book flights through an online travel agent today, you can pay nearly $50 per transaction in additional booking fees. Now, some travel agent says ‘no’ to booking fees. By booking online, the booking fees will be removed and you can use that money to shop in your destination and enjoy the holiday you deserve. Ask for coupons and promos. Airlines offer discount travels depending on the time of the year like the low season. Travelling with group like tour group or travel club will also give you a lot of savings. Take advantage of glorious all inclusive packages.

After booking your tickets, you must look for the accommodation. You can search the site again. If you want surfing, search for a hotel near the surfing area. If you desire for a night life, book near the city. You only need a place to stay during the night or to take nap. So, you don’t need an expensive place. You will be out and exploring the area all day. Don’t reserve for long days. One day is enough, You can always extend your stay if needed. You will be going to places and you can stay in that particular place if needed so that you will not be going back and forth. Time is gold when travelling. You have to make you use of it every minute. My point here is not to spend too much in your travel time. Keep going, don’t go back. See all the interesting places in that area. If you’re in the northern area, explore the place. Spend your night with the locals and tomorrow will be another day. That way, you will be saving a lot from hotel accommodations. The people in every country will be more than willing to extend their hospitality thereby gaining more friends.

There are so many ways where you can make your journey less expensive. And for a piece of advice don’t bring too much clothes. Bring only the daily necessities. Anyway, you can always do travel and shopping together.
